Psychological Assessments

At Davey Psychology, psychological assessments services are provided to help clients understand their strengths and difficulties, across cognitive, academic, personality, and neurodevelopmental areas.

Each assessment package is personalised following an intake assessment, to meet the specific needs of the client

Assessments Offered

Following an initial consultation, an assessment plan may be discussed as appropriate depending on your clinical presentation

Assessments are currently offered for individuals aged 12+

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Tools are used including the ADI-R, ADOS-2, MIGDAS-2, SRS-2, adaptive behaviour assessments (ABAS-3 or Vineland-3), and a cognitive assessment if clinically indicated

Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

ADHD-specific tools are used including the Conners 4 or CAARS, in addition to an adaptive behaviour assessment (ABAS-3 or Vineland-3), and a cognitive assessment if clinically indicated

Specific Learning Disorder

Individual achievement tests (WIAT-IV), adaptive behaviour assessments (ABAS-3 or Vineland-3), and a cognitive assessment if clinically indicated

Cognitive Assessments

An assessment of intellectual functioning, including IQ and areas of strengths/weaknesses. These assessments support diagnostic clarification of Intellectual Disabilities. Tools utilised will vary depending on age, but may include WAIS-5, WISC-V, or WMS-5 among other tools

Personality Assessments

Personality assessments are often used to support diagnostic clarification, or to better understand clinical presentations. The Personality Assessment Inventory (PAI) is used

Risk Assessments

Assessment of risk of harm to oneself or others, including forensic risk assessments. Please contact for more information

Fee Structure

All assessments prices include

  • Administration of appropriate assessment tools

  • Session fees

  • Written outcome letter

  • Feedback session

Throughout the administration of the assessment, provisional feedback will be provided. Following the completion of an assessment, a written letter will be provided which summarises the assessment findings, diagnostic outcome (if relevant), and recommendations.

The administration of a cognitive assessment in addition to an ADHD or ASD assessment may be required, at an additional $500

Comprehensive reports are available at an additional cost of $400 and may take up to 6 weeks to prepare.
